Eating a balanced breakfast is an important way to get your day off to a good start. Which is why we believe in planning ahead when it comes to our brekkie.

But… we're not perfect. Sometimes we have every intention to prep chia pudding in the evening but end up being too tired to actually go through with this plan. Or we forget. Oops. 😬

While we're big advocates for meal prep breakfasts, we also believe you need quick and easy breakfasts that you can make in minutes in the morning.

That’s where this Yogurt Breakfast Bowl with a side of crunchy rice cakes comes in. You can prep this delish meal in just minutes, using whatever you have on hand in your kitchen. These brekkie combo has a good balance of protein, carbohydrates and fiber when you add fruits, nuts and/or chia seeds.

 Making these yogurt breakfast bowls is easy!

  • Use the fresh fruits that are in season. We love berries and stone fruits in spring/summer and apples, pears, oranges and pomegranate in fall/winter.
  • Nuts add more filling fiber and protein to your bowl.
  • A sprinkle of chia seeds adds crunch as well as fiber, protein and omega fatty acids.
  • We love these bowls with vanilla almond yogurt. 
  • Rice cakes with your fave nut butter will give you enough energy to start the day.

INGREDIENTS

  • Dairy-free yoghurt of your choice (we prefer Greek style yogurt and highly recommend Yoggu or Cocoyo)
  • Fresh fruit of your choice
  • 2 pieces of your fave rice cakes 
  • Your go-to nut or seed butter 
  • Additional toppings: coconut flakes, hemp hearts, slices almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, dry cranberries, banana slices, dark chocolate shavings etc. 

These 7 delicious combos of fruits, nuts, seeds and yogurt will keep your tastebuds happy.

🫐 Berry Almond Yogurt Bowl:

  • Dairy-free yogurt alternative 
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Sliced almonds

🍑 Peach Granola Yogurt Bowl:
